There was nothing better than walking into the Hart Ranch kitchen on a Saturday morning when Momma was cooking biscuits. Fresh out of the oven, still warm and fluffy, add a little butter and jam and it was pure heaven. This is our favorite recipe with a little kick from Hart Ranch Seasoning.

Ingredients
-
2 cups all-purpose flour
-
2 teaspoons baking powder
-
½ teaspoon baking soda
-
1½ teaspoons Momma’s Original Hart Ranch Seasoning
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
-
2 teaspoons sugar
-
¾ cup cold sour cream
-
¼ cup cold milk or ⅓ cup cold buttermilk
-
4 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, Hart Ranch Seasoning, garlic powder, and sugar in a medium bowl. Mix with a fork.
Add the wet ingredients: milk, sour cream, and melted butter. Mix with a fork until just combined. Fold the ingredients over each other to form a dough. Do not over work your dough or the biscuits will be dense.
Scoop dough from the bowl and form into rough balls. They do not have to be uniform or even. Should be roughly palm sized, slightly bigger than a golf ball, but can vary depending on how big you want your biscuits to be. Drop biscuits onto ungreased cookie sheet, spaced evenly. Press biscuits down slightly so they are about one inch tall.
Put into the preheated oven and cook for 10-12 minutes, just until they first start to turn golden.
Remove from oven, let them cool slightly, slather with butter and enjoy!
Recipe Note
If you prefer a more uniform biscuit, you can roll them out and use a biscuit cutter for more consistency.
